Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated August 2026
Authorized use only
Use chAIn only with data, accounts, systems, and tools you are authorized to access. Do not use agents to evade access controls, probe another organization, obtain credentials, or cause an integration to act beyond the permissions its owner granted.
People and safety
Do not use the service for unlawful discrimination, exploitation, stalking, harassment, deceptive impersonation, or decisions that create a material risk to a person without appropriate human review. Agents must not be presented as human where that would mislead the recipient.
Security and platform integrity
Do not introduce malware, attempt prompt or tool injection, defeat the sandbox, overwhelm the service, falsify billing or audit records, or bypass approval, retention, content safety, budget, or policy controls. Security research requires prior written authorization and a scope agreed with chAIn.
High-impact and prohibited automation
You are responsible for determining whether a proposed use is legally permitted and appropriately supervised. Fully autonomous weapons, credential theft, illegal surveillance, and automated destructive actions without informed authorization are prohibited. High-impact financial, employment, legal, medical, or public-service decisions require qualified human oversight.
Enforcement
chAIn may restrict a tool, suspend an agent or account, preserve evidence, or cooperate with lawful requests when necessary to protect people, customers, or the platform. Enforcement actions are scoped where possible and recorded through the security and audit controls available to the service.
